The last few days of Christmas are typically spent struggling to get out the chair as I am far too full move from all the turkey and stuffing, chocolates and beer and wine.
But this Christmas was slightly different. The 28th December, normally when I'm in smack in the middle of the Christmas indulgence coma was actually spent taking photos of a wonderful winter wedding... I didn't even plan alliteration then!
Denise and Andy were my final customers in 2016. And it was a wedding to remember!
I arrived at Hogarths at about 9.30 am. I thought I'd start by capturing the grounds. They looked gorgeous because of the frost and morning sun just breaking through the trees.
I didn't stay out too long as I had begun to freeze around the soft edges.
I entered the room where the lovely Denise was with her bridesmaids. I normally expect some kind of flapping going on, but these girls were as cool as ice! Chilling out and enjoying themselves... as it should be!
The ceremony didn't disappoint... the room they married in was stunning... the cool winter sun shining through the glass made it all that more magical!
The best bit of the day for me though was seeing the face of the groom's son, Jonathan. Him looking on with a big smile as his dad married the love of his life made me cry. You could see that this young man adored the two of them.
The evening's shenanigans were topped off with the addition of Magic Bob, yes a magician! Bob wowed the guests as he provided the evening's entertainment, even at one point making the groom look as confused as a chameleon in a bag of Skittles.
I had such a great time being their photographer... the venue was amazing, the food was great and the service even better. Working with Annabel, the events manager was such a pleasure also!
